The Association of Information Technology Professionals was founded in 1952 to provide learning and growth opportunities to data processing managers and staff through networking, chapter activities, conferences, seminars and special interest groups. Today, AITP offers industry leadership and opportunities for professional development and personal growth to its more than 5,000 professional members across all disciplines and to its 6,000 student members. The Richmond Chapter provides the local presence and meeting forum to deliver the most tangible benefits associated with AITP. With nearly 100 members representing over 60 local organizations, the Richmond Chapter is an excellent forum for networking, informal discussions, educational seminars, and exchange of ideas.
Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month (except December), at the Holiday Inn Crossroads, at 2000 Staples Mill Road, Richmond VA.
The usual format is a social time and heavy appetizers beginning at 5:15, meeting announcements at 6:00 and a program immediately following. The meetings usually adjourn by 7:15. Guests are welcome. Average attendance is 30 to 45 members and guests.
